POWERUP™ Team Building

Tough times don’t last, tough teams do. It is no secret that team building is imperative to the success of an organisation. Hence, we have formulated a series of highly energetic and interactive programmes customised to realign corporate mission, vision and values.

During the course of team building, participants will be provided with opportunities to get to know their colleagues better. We also aim to charge up teams positively to achieve breakthroughs in their area of work. With guided facilitation, participants will be able to understand the importance of effective communication in a team and be equipped with skills to develop their group and improve productivity. Our team trained some 17,000 volunteers for SEA Games 2015 over 8 months!

Corporate Retreat and Seminars

Corporate Retreat and Seminars

Positive Intentions has vast experience in designing and facilitating corporate retreats. Adopting John C Maxwell Leadership concepts, each retreat is individually customised to realign Corporate Mission and Vision and strengthen the organisational values in achieving set goals.

Transforming solemn and serious retreats into energetic and positive sessions where staff are more receptive to share and learn collectively is our forté.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

In our effort to further raise social awareness and civic mindedness, we assist organisations in designing, planning and executing programmes to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility. We believe that every CSR effort should cater to the needs of the targeted beneficiaries and be aligned with the organisational mission, vision and values.

On top of that, we also conduct Volunteer Training Workshops to equip volunteers with essential skills and enhance their volunteering experiences.

The objective is to nurture youth volunteers to become active citizens who are not only confident, but also socially responsible to identify needs and contribute to both local and overseas communities.

Positive Intentions Pte Ltd is one of the selected partners appointed by National Youth Council (NYC) to conduct the Leaders Training Course. The NYC-YEP Leaders Training Course (LTC) is a 4-day programme designed to prepare and equip YEP leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to design, lead and implement YEP projects.

These are the key modules that will be covered during the course:

Home Maintenance

In today’s fast-paced society, people sometimes forget about those who have helped them get to where they are. Our home maintenance opportunities allow participants to understand different perspectives as they are provided with a platform to interact with and assist the residents, who are mostly elderly.

By showing care and appreciation to people in the society, participants learn to be more gracious.

Befriending and Engagement Programmes

Befriending and Engagement Programme

The purpose of beneficiary visits is to provide both Volunteers and Beneficiaries with the much-needed social interaction. These visits take participants away from their mundane daily routines and raise their awareness of current social situations and living conditions of some of our beneficiaries.

Through experiential learning from such activities, participants will be able to gain a heightened sense of appreciation for what they have in their lives at present.

Volunteer Development Workshop

This workshop is designed to equip volunteers with essential engagement skills to communicate and interact with our partners. Adopting the Service Learning Rules by Robert Sigmon, we provide our volunteers with different perspectives of volunteerism and guide them in achieving a fulfilling volunteering experience for all parties.

VWO Partnerships

Voluntary Welfare Organisations Partnership

Apart from Pro Bono services, we also fund social projects. Merry Marathon is one of the social projects funded by us to engage our partners from various Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) to spread the Christmas merriment around Singapore.

We rallied youths from different institutions to visit our partners during the Christmas season to celebrate with carols, food and presents. This project is well received by many youth as it provides them with the opportunity to give-back during their December break.

Youth Mentorship Programme

The Youth Engagement Programme is an outreach effort that targets youth between ages 13 and 16. Conceptualised with various Police Divisions, its objectives are to change the mindsets and attitudes of youth through experiential activities. In doing so, we aim to steer them from crime, deter offending and reduce arrests from secondary schools.

There are five phases to our programme – Camp EVO, various experiential activities such as paintball and dragon boating, round-up camp, graduation ceremony and mentoring and training workshops for family members of our participants.

Other Volunteering Platforms

Apart from volunteering possibilities with our partners, we also initiate different activities when the situation calls for it. This enables us to expose our volunteers to different perspectives.

Examples include gathering our team of enthusiastic volunteers to support and cheer fervently for Team Singapore during SEA Games 2015, as well as activating our volunteers to assist operationally during the passing of the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
